Carol M. Snider (nee Frey), 81, a lifelong resident of Avon Lake, passed away Tuesday, June 4, 2013, at Ames Hospice, after a short illness. She was born in Lorain on January 1, 1932.
Carol graduated from Avon Lake High School in 1950. She worked as an Administrative Assistant for Spanmaster and Parker Hannifin. Carol was a member of Holy Spirit Church and the Lorain Moose Lodge. She loved to travel, work in her flower garden, and collect light houses and Hummels. She was also an avid Nascar fan.
Carol is survived by her children, Susan M. Kaswell of Avon Lake, Arlene L. Smith (Fred) of Avon Lake, and Craig W. Snider (Leeann) of Vermilion; grandchildren, Megan M. Smith, Tyler W. Smith, Trevor W. Snider, Trent M. Van Meter, and Cole T. Van Meter; great grandchildren, Lilliana M. Smith; and brother, Allan G. Frey (Joan) of Avon Lake.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, Charles W. Snider, Joseph Fiorello, and James H. Wulff; daughter, Barbara J. Van Meter; grandson, Eric J. Kaswell; and brother, Dale Frey.
Friends may call at the Busch Funeral Home, 163 Avon-Belden Road, Avon Lake, Sunday, June 9, 2013, from 2 to 6 P.M. Prayer service will be at 9:15 A.M., Monday, June 10, 2013, at the funeral home, followed by Mass of Christian Burial at Holy Spirit Church, 410 Lear Road, Avon Lake, at 10 A.M. Interment will be at Resthaven Memory Gardens, Avon.
