June D. Hubbell (nee Glasse), 80, of Parma Heights and the South Florida area, passed away Monday, June 10, 2013, at Greenbrier Nursing Home in Parma Heights, following a lengthy illness. She is a former resident of Elyria and was born June 27, 1932 in Logansport, Indiana.
June graduated from Elyria High School, Class of 1949 and M.B. Johnson School of Nursing. She was employed at Elyria Memorial Hospital and Dr. Finnegan’s office. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Elyria. Her interests included golf, bowling and playing cards with her neighborhood group of friends.
Mrs. Hubbell is survived by her daughter, Karyn (Jim) Urbanek of Parma Heights; and son, Kevin Hubbell of Lake Worth, Florida; step-sons, Lawrence (Leslie) Hubbell of Dayton, and James Hubbell of Tennessee; grandchildren, Benjamin (Danielle) and Jeremy Urbanek; step-grandchildren, Christopher Hubbell and Jordan Massey; great-grandchildren, Jaedyn Brickenden-Urbanek and Benjamin Urbanek; step-great-grandson, Lucas Hubbell.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Hubbell (2003); parents, Frank Glass and Belva Glunt (nee Segraves).
Friends may call 11 A.M to 12 Noon, Saturday, June 15, 2013, at Busch Funeral Home, 114 Second Street, Elyria. Funeral service will begin at Noon at the funeral home. Pastor Terry Zerby, Parma Heights Baptist Church, will officiate. Interment will be in Brookdale Cemetery, Elyria.
