Mary E. Mastin (nee Henderson), of Lorain, transitioned from this life Wednesday, June 12, 2013, after a brief illness.
Mary was a native of Chattanooga, Tennessee, where she attended and graduated from high school. She later migrated to Lorain and united with her late husband, James “Bubble” Mastin.
Mary loved the Lord and accepted Christ at an early age. She united with Second Baptist Church of Lorain, where she served as a faithful member of the Missionary Ministry and sang in the former Inspirational Chorus.
Mary leaves to cherish her memory, her nieces, Angela Bullard and Terri Henderson, both of Detroit Michigan; stepson, Lebron (Nadine) Gladden of Louisville Kentucky; a devoted friend and goddaughter of 41 years, Beverly Bryant; the niece that kept her wellness at heart, Chandra Tucker; and a host of nephews, nieces, brother and sisters-in-law and friends. She also leaves her pet companion, Coco.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ernest Henderson and Rachael (Hughes) Henderson.
Visitation will be held Saturday, June 15, 2013 from 9 A.M., until time of service at 10A.M., at Second Baptist Church, 300 W. 13th St., Lorain. Reverend Loversier Lewis, Pastor, will officiate. Burial will follow in Ridge Hill Memorial Park, Amherst Township.
