Frances M. Forgacs (nee Huhra), 93, of Wellington and formerly of Sheffield Village, passed away Saturday, June 15, 2013 at The Elms Retirement Village in Wellington, following a lengthy illness. She was born in Lorain on January 29, 1920 and had been a lifelong resident of Lorain County.
Frances was a long time member of St. Teresa of Avila Church in Sheffield Village. She retired from the Morning Journal where she had worked as a proof reader.
Survivors include her sons, Andrew (Anne) Forgacs, John (Karen) Forgacs and Joe (Sue) Forgacs; five grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and her sister, Mary Ann (Ralph) McNary.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph P. Forgacs; brothers, Al and Emery; sister, Claire; and by her parents, John and Mary (nee Stolyark) Huhra
Friends may call Wednesday, June 19, 2013 from 9 A.M. until the time of Closing Prayers at 11 A.M. at Wyers Funeral Chapel, 2900 North Ridge Road, Sheffield Township. Mass of the Christian Burial will be at St. Teresa of Avila Catholic Church, 1878 Abbe Road, Sheffield Village at 11:30 A.M. Burial will follow at St. Teresa Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Breast Cancer Awareness Foundation.
