Bennie C. “Beana” Green, Sr., 48, of Cleveland formerly of Elyria, passed away peacefully Friday, June 14, 2013 in the Euclid Hospital following a lengthy illness. He was born in Elyria on March 8, 1965 and attended the Elyria City School system.
He was employed as a landscaper for the William Black Company of Cleveland for then 20 years he also did landscaping in Elyria. Mr. Green enjoyed music, bike riding, spending time with his grandson and family and friends.
He was survived by daughters, Shanee Taylor, Carnisha, Ciann Alexander of Cleveland, Carlisha Green of Akron; sons, Bennie Green, Jr., Destine Green of Akron; grandson, Jeremy Taylor; sisters, Joyce (Kevin) Madison of Huntsville, Alabama, Frances (Craig) West of Elyria; brothers, Melvin Parker, James, Keenan Green of Cleveland and Michael Martin of Chicago, Illinois; and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives.
He was preceded in death by parents, Frances and James Green; grandson, Jermaine Taylor; sister, Marilyn Green-Arnold; and special aunt, Hattie Noel.
Friends may call Saturday, June 22, 2013 from 12 Noon until time of service at 1 P.M. in the Carter Funeral Home Chapel, 127 W. Bridge St., Elyria. Rev. Lonnie Ashby will officiate.
