He was employed by several railroads over the years and retired from Con-Rail in 2001 as a clerk. He enjoyed antique cars, his 1951 Mercury and attending car shows. He also enjoyed all Cleveland sport teams, especially the Indians and Cavs. He enjoyed playing sports in his younger days.
He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Linda; daughters, Michele M. Mako of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Theresa L. Tolander of Chicago, Illinois; sons, Kim Kincaid of Lakewood, Charles R. Gatton of Excelsior Springs, Missouri, Robert C. Cook of Wadsworth and was a loving grandfather and great grandfather.
He was preceded in death by his parents Charles A. and Julian Gatton.
There will be no visitation as a private family service will be held at a later date.
