Stanley F. Machock

Stanley F. Machock, 74, of Wakeman, passed away Tuesday, June 18, 2013 at Oak Hills Nursing Center in Lorain, following a long illness. He was born January 29, 1939 in Elyria.

Stanley was a 1956 Elyria Catholic High School graduate. He loved spending time with his family, especially family reunion clambakes. Stanley’s passions were fishing, boating, and attending Elyria Catholic football games.

Survivors include a son, Stephen of Norwalk; three sisters, Molly George (John) of Michigan, Carolyn Dailey (the late Douglas) of Columbus, Marjory Bennett (Gary) of Elyria; six brothers, Ted (Joan) of California, Chuck (Dottie) of Cincinnati, Jim (Kathie) of Indiana, Bill (Shelly) of California, Ken (Jenny) of Lakewood, Gary of Georgia; and numerous nieces and nephews. Stanley is also survived by a dear friend, JoAnn “JoJo” Parron.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Stanley T. and Mildred L. (nee Easly) Machock.

The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 P.M., Friday, June 28, 2013 at The Laubenthal-Mercado Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 38475 Chestnut Ridge Rd. (at State Rt. 57), Elyria, 440-322-4626, where memorial service will be at 7 P.M. immediately following visitation. Burial will be private.

    I feel sorry for Stephen Machock losing his dad. At least Stanley is in a better place. I have been through a lot when I lost my mom and my grandpa.
