Man unhurt after car flips on Second Street

ELYRIA — An Elyria man walked away with just a small scratch on his pinky finger after his car flipped in dramatic fashion on Second Street this afternoon.

Andrew Lynch, 21, said he was westbound in his Pontiac Grand Prix on Second approaching Middle Avenue a little about 2:40 p.m. when he was struck by a truck that left the scene.

Witnesses recounted the car flipping up in the air, taking out a light pole and coming to rest on its roof.

The witnesses said the truck involved had advertisements for some sort of tree company on its sides.
