Ray Winston Rimbert

RimbertRayRay Winston Rimbert was born to Eddie Rimbert, Sr. and Eva Mae Rimbert in Hazard, Kentucky on May 31, 1951.

He attended Oberlin Public schools and graduated from Oberlin High School. Ray accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior and was baptized at Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Oberlin. Ray met and later married Kathy Starjs in Oakland, California, October 19, 1985. This union was blessed with a daughter Nicole.

He was employed as a building maintenance supervisor for Able Building Maintenance, until his health failed. Ray enjoyed camping, fishing, and gardening, and liked to ride motorcycles and bicycles. He was fond of animals, especially dogs.

Ray departed this life, Sunday, June 2, 2013 and was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Daisy May Rimbert and Peggy Ann Boyd McCoy.

Ray leaves to cherish his precious memories, his wife, Kathy Rimbert; daughter, Nicole Williams; three grandsons, Quenzell, Mylan, and Xavier; one sister, Jackie (Readie) Brooks; four brothers, Eddie, Jr. (Alberta), Terry, Larry (Peggy) and Ronnie (Renetta) Rimbert; sister-in-law, Sandra Franklin; brother-in-law, Guy Raymond Starks; mother-in-law, Connie Harian; and a host of other relatives and friends.

A grave side service will be held Saturday, June 29, 2013, 11 A.M., at the Westwood Cemetery in Oberlin, with Pastor Dick Kretchmar officiating.
