Carl Wilson Clemons, 71, of Lorain, passed away unexpectedly of natural causes at his home Friday, June 21, 2013. He was born January 7, 1942 in Gallagher, West Virginia and has been a resident of Lorain County for the past 50 years.
Carl served in the United States Army. He retired as a welder after 30 years of service at the U.S. Steel Plant in Lorain. He was a member of the North Eaton Baptist Church in Eaton Township and the Lorain Church of Christ and many social clubs throughout Lorain County. He enjoyed attending Bible studies, watching Western movies, gardening, rescuing animals, gambling and helping everyone that he came into contact with.
Mr. Clemons is survived by his sons, Carl Lee Clemons (Gina) of Wakeman and Seneca Brandon Clemons of Grafton; daughters, Amber Rae Clemons of Grafton and Emerald Dawn Clemons of Elyria; seven grandchildren; brother, John Clemons of Tennessee; sisters, Doris Hall of West Virginia and Dorthy Kisel of North Ridgeville.
He was preceded in death by his parents Percy and Bessie (nee Gibson) Clemons; brothers, Marvin, Leonard and Ira Lee Clemons; sisters, Lela Lawrence, Ruby Gravely, Mamie Nunn, Velma Bosak, Hazel Raymond and Mary Jane Clemons.
A Memorial service will be held at the Lorain Church of Christ, 5075 Toledo Road, Lorain, OH 44055, Saturday, July 6, 2013 at 11 A.M. Rev. Bob Eddy, Pastor of the church will officiate.
