Two men face wire fraud charges

Two Lorain County men are accused of defrauding companies and customers out of about $290,000.

Timothy Grodzik of the 13000 block of North Boone Road in Columbia Station and Gregory Klima of the 32000 block of Carriage Lane in Avon Lake, both 52, were each charged with conspiracy to commit wire fraud, according to a Tuesday news release from the U.S. Attorney’s office for the Northern District of Ohio.

Grodzik and Klima are owners of Title Access LLC, a real estate company providing title insurance and escrow account management, according to court documents. They are accused of falsifying documents to steer money to themselves through an escrow account.

The alleged fraud purportedly occurred between December 2009 and February 2011. Grodzik and Klima, who haven’t been indicted, couldn’t be reached for comment Tuesday.

The name Klima sounds familiar, some one I met in the past, but I can’t place the name.
