Tornado relief donations sought

LORAIN — Donations to Oklahoma tornado victims will be accepted between 8 a.m. and 9 p.m. daily through July 19 at the carport at the Spanish Church of God Ebenezer, 3660 Globe Ave., Lorain.

The Rev. Angel Arroyo of Dotcom Ministries will be departing July 21. Arroyo and other volunteers dropped off donations with six other volunteers in Moore, Okla., on May 30 through June 4 and said more help is needed. Tornadoes killed 25 people in May.

Arroyo said Lorain had a tornado in 1924, which killed 72 people, and if another were to hit, volunteers from around the nation would come to help.

Baby wipes, cleaning supplies, diapers, money for gas and non-perishable food are being sought. For more information, contact Arroyo at (440) 258-3023 or arroyo.angel5@gmail.com.
