Monday, July 8

12:07 p.m. — Adult Parole, 631 Griswold Road, an employee said an unidentified male called several times, telling the front desk secretary that the employee was under arrest. The employee believes to know the male, who claimed to be calling from “the sheriff’s department.”

5:15 p.m. — 100 block Pennsylvania Ave., a man said his scrap metal, which was in his mother’s driveway, had been stolen.

7:36 p.m. — Food Court, 3343 Midway Mall, a man reported his locked Jeep Wrangler stolen after being parked for 45 minutes. No glass was found on the ground, police said.

Tuesday, July 9

3:09 a.m. — Third and Turner streets, police arrested and charged a 14-year-old girl with domestic violence and are holding her at Lorain County Detention Center. The girl allegedly refused to go home with her guardian, wanting to hang out with friends. Police said that when her guardian escorted her by the arm to a vehicle, she attempted to hit her guardian. Officers then took her to the ground and arrested her, according to a police report.

1:57 p.m. — 100 block Prospect St., car window smashed in 72-hour public parking lot on Depot Street.

Tuesday, June 25

1:49 p.m. — 600 block S. Main St., woman reported theft of a bag containing medications and $14.

Wednesday, July 3

3:08 a.m. — 300 block Maple St., vehicle parked at Shiloh Industries had two flat tires and the drive shaft fell to the ground when the owner tried to move it. The owner told police he didn’t have problems with anyone.

Friday, July 5

1:11 a.m. — 100 block Wheeling Ave., female who wanted to hurt herself agreed to go to Mercy Regional Medical Center for an evaluation.

8:27 p.m. — 200 block N. Pleasant St., mother reports problem with juvenile son to police.

Thursday, June 6

11:24 p.m. — 14000 block state Route 58, Alice Bonnallie, 61, of Wellington, charged with OVI, BAC over 0.17 and failure to control after a one-vehicle crash.

Friday, June 7

8:22 a.m. — 100 block W. College St., Oberlin College security turned over to police contraband — a bong with dragon on it and a bag of suspected marijuana.

8:42 a.m. — 100 block S. Main St., counterfeit $5 bill received at the Mickey Mart.

Monday, June 10

10:32 a.m. — 100 block W. College St., Oberlin College security turned over to police a bag of marijuana found on campus.

Wednesday, June 12

4:22 p.m. — 600 block Kimberly Circle, woman reports theft of child’s glasses from a vehicle.

    I hope the car didn’t have a gun in it that is now in the hands of a criminal if the driver was a honest CCW holder and had to leave his gun in the car due to the malls new anti gun policy
