Critter Chronicles: Luke-Prison Graduate

Luke just returned from many weeks of training at the Grafton Correctional Institute. He spent his time learning skills in obedience, basic commands, manners and proper leash walking. He is now available for adoption and waiting for his forever home. Please don’t make him wait too long. He needs to continue to keep practicing the skills he’s learned so well. Luke is a very handsome dog with a unique look. We’re guessing Catahoula/Lab mix but he’s got a short tail like an Aussie and a little bit of a Great Dane or boxer look to his face. If any dog could use a DNA test, it’s Luke. He’s about 1 year old and currently about 50 pounds but still may grow some. Luke spent most of his puppyhood at a dog shelter so the big wide world is a new experience to him. He’s a little timid in new situations but is learning more and more every day. He loves playing with other dogs so a home with another playful young dog to show him the ropes would be ideal for Luke. He does well in his crate. Luke likes other dogs too. He wouldn’t mind a new friend.

If you have kids and/or another dog in your family and are interested in adopting a Friendship dog please bring them with you for a meet and greet. No appointment is necessary. Stop by anytime during regular business hours.
