Dudley G. Hudson, 92, of Elyria passed away peacefully. He was born in Nanafalia, Ala. formerly of Mobile, Alabama, Then coming to Elyria in May 2010. Mr. Hudson was a Veteran of the Army serving in WWII and was involved in the Peal Harbor attack. Mr. Hudson was a supervisor for the GAF material Corp. in Mobile Alabama, retiring after 46 yrs of service. He was a member of Blooming Grove Baptist Church in Mobile Alabama where he served as a Deacon Brood. He enjoyed yard work, working with cars and giving his time to his family and to others.
He is survived by daughters, Willie E. Evans of Elyria, Olaree (Edward) Hudson of Cleveland; sons, Howard (Linda) Hudson of Mobile Alabama, Dudley Hudson Jr. of Euclid, Ohio; 13 grandchildren; 43 great grandchildren; 33 great great grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews, cousins and other relatives.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 75 years, Leila Hudson; son, John Earl Hudson; three sisters; and four brothers.
Friends may call Monday, July 22, 2013 from 10 A.M. until time of service at 11 A.M. in the MT. Zion Baptist Church in Oberlin 185 Pleasant, Rev Dr. E. Theaphilus Caviness of Greater Abyssinia Baptist Church in Cleveland will officiate and Rev Fred L. Bell pastor will co-officiate burial in Brookdale Elyria.
