Critter Chronicles: Rosie

Rosie was adopted from another shelter four to five years ago. Her mom passed away and now her dad has to downsize and is going to a place where he is unable to keep her. Rosie lived with another male dog and some cats and got along with everyone. Rosie has also been good with the kids next door who pet her through the fence. She is also housetrained and has all of her house manners. We would prefer that she goes to a home with a fenced-in yard because of her breed. When coonhounds get on a scent, they are gone and aren’t going to hear you at all. Any of the hound breeds are extremely good natured and seem to have good temperaments with people, Rosie is all of that. She does seem to be a bit afraid of loud noises, which is probably why she was dumped – she was afraid of gunfire by the people who had her initially.

If you have kids and/or another dog in your family and are interested in adopting a Friendship dog please bring them with you for a meet and greet. No appointment is necessary. Stop by anytime during regular business hours.
