Esta Joy Grueser (nee Goodrich), 74, of Elyria, passed away unexpectedly at her residence on Tuesday, August 6, 2013. She was born in Jacksonburg, West Virginia on March 31, 1939.
She had been a resident of Elyria since 2005 and previously lived in Columbia Station and Canton. She was a retired nurse’s aid and had been most recently employed at Villa Camillus Nursing Home in Columbia Station. She also formerly worked at Altman Hospital in Canton for 36 years. She was a devoted mother, grandmother and great grandmother and enjoyed spending time with her family. She also enjoyed cooking and taking care of others.
She is survived by one son, James Grueser of Elyria; one granddaughter, Amber Grueser of Elyria; one grandson, Eric Grueser of Elyria; one great grandson, Don-Paul Wilson; two brothers, Emery Goodrich of Columbia Station and Harry Goodrich of Richwood, West Virginia; a special niece, Mary Jo Priddy of Columbia Station; and many other nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James Grueser in 1999; her parents, James and Orpha (nee Kendall) Goodrich; three sisters, Flossie Goodrich, Virginia McGilton and Freda Milligan; and three brothers, Russell, Cecil and Everett Goodrich.
