Henry Miller, Jr., 78, of North Ridgeville, went home to be with the Lord Tuesday, August 13, 2013, after a brief illness. Henry was born October 11, 1934 in Decota, West Virginia, son to Henry Miller, Sr. and Laura E. Coleman Miller, both deceased.
Henry was a 1953 graduate of East Bank High School in West Virginia. He was a United States Army veteran. Henry was a former resident of Chesapeake, West Virginia, where he was a police officer. He was also employed by Carbon Fuel Coal Company in Cabin Creek, West Virginia and American Tank & Fabricating Company in Cleveland.
He was a member of Clearview Church in Columbia Station.
Henry is survived by his beloved wife of 50 years, Cynthia Howell Miller. He was the cherished father to Henry A. “Tony” Miller (Joyce) of Medina and Tracy Gast (Jesse) of Grafton; caring grandfather to Lyle Gast, Roy Gast, Sarah DeBlasis, Kyle Smith, Clarissa Smith, and Jeremy Smith; and great grandfather to Alexandria Gast; dear brother to Patricia Lavender (David) of Hurricane, West Virginia; and proud uncle to Dr. Chad D. Lavender. Henry will be greatly missed by his extended family, The Howell’s of Ohley, West Virginia.
Friends may honor Henry in a Memorial Celebration Service Friday, August 23, 2013 at 4 P.M., at Clearview Church, 23963 Royalton Rd., Columbia Station, OH 44028. Pastor Jim Hurst will officiate.
