7:13 p.m. – 100 block Kaiser Court, a resident said someone burglarized her home between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. with forced entry through a back door. She said a $300 television, $225 DVD player and two jewelry boxes worth a combined $50, were stolen.
7:20 p.m. – 7300 block West River Road, South, a resident said three men in a car pulled into his driveway and ran to a nearby creek with one man throwing something near the creek. Police said they found a loaded .45 caliber semiautomatic pistol by the creek bank.
8:20 p.m. – Harrison Street and Washington Avenue, Christopher Robinette, 31, 100 block Phillip Court, Elyria, cited for driving while intoxicated and driving with a suspended license. Robinette was found slumped over the wheel of his car and was overdosing on heroin, police said. Narcan, a nasal stimulant that can revive heroin addicts, was used to revive Robinette. Robinette admitted to snorting heroin, police said.
10:24 p.m. – 2400 block West River Road, a resident said that a car stereo and a video game were stolen from her home and a back sliding door that is always closed was open.
Tuesday, Aug. 20
1:18 a.m. – 100 block Pratt Blvd., a resident said someone scratched the driver’s side of his car that was parked in front of his apartment and he suspects his neighbors.
6:37 a.m. – 400 block Randall Drive, a resident said his car was burglarized overnight.
7:42 a.m. – 200 block Berkshire Drive, a resident said her car, parked in her driveway overnight, was burglarized with a stun gun stolen.
8:16 a.m. – 900 block Gulf Road, a resident said his car, parked in his driveway overnight, was burglarized with his wallet stolen.
3:52 p.m. – 1700 block West Ave., reported theft of several firearms during a home burglary. A neighbor said she saw a male juvenile knocking on the door, and two boys walking around the area later that day.
5:07 p.m. – 300 block 17th St., a woman told police she came home to find two teenagers in her living room. She said the teenage boys acted like they lived there before running off empty handed.
11:10 p.m. – Olive Street, Ray Shreves Jr., 47, issued a summons for criminal trespass for allegedly sitting on Norfolk Southern’s railroad tracks. Police said Shreves has been asked several times to stay off the tracks.
Wednesday, Aug. 21
4:45 a.m. – 100 block West Ave., a man told police he was assaulted by two unknown men while walking by Elyria High School. He said one of the men asked him for a lighter and both men kicked and punched him as he was retrieving it.
7:02 a.m. – 100 block Bath St., a woman told police someone poured powdered sugar in her vehicle’s gas tank. The woman suspected two people who threatened her earlier.
7:41 a.m. – 400 block Cambridge Ave., reported theft of a television, computer and ring during a home burglary.
