Jessica Dargocey, 23, of Elyria said she was talking a walk around 11:30 p.m. in front of EMH Regional Medical Center when she noticed a white or silver Dodge truck parked and running in the hospital parking lot. Moments later, Dargocey said, a white man in his 20s got out of the car and ran toward her, she told police.
She said he grabbed her, and she started kicking and screaming until another car driving past began to slow down, according to a police report.
Seeing the car, the man let go of Dargocey and ran back to his truck, which he drove west bound down Broad Street, police said.
Dargocey told police that she didn’t know who the man was but he was arouond 5-feet, 8-inches tall with a medium build, blond hair and blue eyes. His truck had a black sticker on the tailgate, she said.
Police weren’t able to find the car on Thursday night but they have been working closely with the hospital since the incident to identify the truck and suspect, said Elyria Police Capt. Christopher Costantino.
“If anyone has had this happen and not reported it, they should get in contact with (the Elyria Police Department),” Costantino said, adding that if any witnesses to Thursday night’s incident haven’t come forward, they should also contact the police. The number of the Elyria police (440) 323-3302.
