The National Weather Service in Cleveland has issued a flood advisory for Lorain County until 12:30 p.m. Tuesday.
The National Weather Service estimates more than two inches of rainfall has already fallen over portions of Lorain County between Elyria and Lorain. An additional half-inch is possible before the storms move out of the area later this morning.
Runoff from this excessive rainfall will cause minor flooding to occur, especially along small creeks and streams, near low water crossings, and in urban areas.
Use caution when traveling, and avoid driving through high water covering roadways.
