Josephine Jankowski

Jankowski_JosephineJosephine Jankowski, 94, entered into eternal rest Friday, August 30, 2013. She was born January 2, 1919 in Avon. She lived in Avon her entire life.

Josephine worked for Bee Line Home Party Clothing Line, General Industries and Bendix Westinghouse in Elyria for several years. She was a member of the Altar and Rosary Society at St. Mary of the Immaculate Conception Parish in Avon and its Mission Circle #19, member of 1st Parish Council of St. Mary’s, volunteered for Meals on Wheels, an avid Indians fan, enjoyed cooking and baking, crocheting, Swedish weaving and spending time with her children.

She is survived by her children, Bernard (Mary Ellen), Sandra Jankowski, Marlene (Mark) Imburgia, Greg Jankowski; four grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Bernard A. Jankowski; brothers, Urban, Virgil, Clarence; and sisters, Luella, Helen S.N.D. and Alice.

The family will receive friends Wednesday, September 4, 2013 from 8 to 9:30 A.M. at the Misencik Funeral Home, 36363 Detroit Rd., Avon, where closing prayers will be at 9:30 A.M. followed a 10 A.M. Mass at St. Mary of the Immaculate Conception Parish, Avon. Interment will be at St. Mary’s Cemetery.
