Delice Marion “Ferretti” Ives, 73, of Grafton, passed away Thursday, August 22, 2013 in her home. She was born April 20, 1940 in London, England and had moved to Lorain County in 1962.
She was a member of Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Church in Grafton. She was a RN for many years in the local area involved in promoting professionalism in nursing. She was a graduate of St. Joseph’s, LCCC, Cleveland State University and had a Master’s Degree in Public Administration. She was a member of the Ohio Nurses Association and the Ohio Hospital Association.
She is survived by her daughters, Kathleen (Arthur) Grella of Grafton, Kristine (Chad) Royer of North Canton; son, Lewis Ferretti of Leechburg, Pennsylvania; survivors also include her grandchildren, Johanna, Elizabeth and Emily Royer; brother, Frederick Ives of Tonbridge Wells, England; and by her faithful companion of over 14 years, Kitt.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Kathleen Lea and father, Albert Ives.
There will be a Memorial Mass at 10 A.M., Thursday, September 5, 2013 in the Chapel of Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Church, 708 Erie Street, Grafton. Reverend John Seabold, Pastor, will officiate. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Grafton.
The family suggests that memorial donations be made to the Salvation Army, St. Jude’s for Children or the Fr. Flanigan Boys & Girls Home.
Arrangements were handled by the Blackburn-Duke Funeral Home, 1021 Main Street, Grafton.
