Jeanne F. Bott-Adams (nee Burgett), 83, of Elyria, passed away Friday, September 6, 2013, at her home, following a long illness. She was born July 27, 1930 in Elyria and was a lifelong Elyria resident.
Jeanne worked in the cafeteria at the Invacare Corporation for 17 years. Following Invacare, she worked at the McDonald’s on East Broad St. for 18 years. She enjoyed gardening, quilting, tole painting and reading. Jeanne’s home was always open to anyone and she was a second mother to many and loved sharing family stories.
Survivors include her daughter, Cindy (Jack) Kovacs of Elyria; sons, Randall (Vikki) Bott of LaGrange, Tim and Tom Bott, both of Elyria, and Devlyn Adams of Vermilion; five grandchildren; four great grandchildren; and brother, Ralph Burgett of Sheffield Lake.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Debbie Gross-McDermott; and sons, Brad and Terry Bott.
The family will receive friends Monday, September 9, 2013, 4 until 7 P.M., at the Laubenthal-Mercado Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 38475 Chestnut Ridge Rd. (at State Rt. 57), Elyria. Services will be Tuesday, September 10, 2013, at 11:30 A.M., in the funeral home. The Reverend Chuck Behrens will officiate. Burial will be at Ridge Hill Memorial Park, Amherst Township.
