He lived in Elyria most of his adult life, wintering in Palmetto, Florida, and recently moved to Wellington to be closer to family.
Wallace retired from Brookpark Ford Engine Plant in 1982 after 31 years of service. He and his wife owned Ridge Engraving for 20 years, traveling the United States engraving for Holiday Travel Trailer Co. Wallace enjoyed gardening, camping, leaded glass, fishing and spending time with his family.
Wallace is survived by his wife of 60 years, Delores (nee Buswell); son, Neal (Lisa) Widdowson of Wellington; daughter, Marcia Widdowson of LaGrange, Kentucky; three grandchildren; and one great grandson.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Eliza Widdowson; and brother, Rowland Widdowson.
Family and friends may call from 6 until 8 P.M., Monday, September 9, 2013, at Cowling Funeral Home in Oberlin. Cremation and private burial will be at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that memorial contributions be made in Wallace’s name to the charity of choice.
