Erik Castillo, 32, told police that he was leaving a party around 7 a.m. Sunday when a blue Honda Civic pulled up beside him on Pearl Avenue near East 29th Street.
The driver of the car offered Castillo a ride and called him by his brother’s name, “Alexis,” Castillo told police.
Castillo, who told police he was drunk and didn’t want to walk home, accepted the ride.
However, when Castillo got in the car, he realized all four of the men were strangers. The men offered him some marijuana and asked Castillo if he wanted to party with them. Castillo declined both offers, asking instead to be left at the corner of Clinton Avenue and East 31st Street.
At the corner as Castillo began to get out of the car, one of the men grabbed a razor and cut Castillo’s stomach, leaving an 8- to 10-inch cut, according to police. The same man then kicked Castillo in the hip and the car drove off.
