Ronnie Kidd, 32, was arrested and charged disorderly conduct, intoxication and resisting arrest following a fight with Bobbie Kidd, 30, who was identified as his sister-in-law and his girlfriend in two different police reports.
Police said Ronnie Kidd and Bobbie Kidd were struggling with each other on a curb lawn at Foster Avenue and Furnace Street at 11:17 p.m. Bobbie Kidd, who had a black eye, was on top of Ronnie Kidd, according to a police report, and she told police to leave the two alone.
Officers separated the two, and police said that they were extremely intoxicated, and Bobbie lunged at a police officer. She was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct persisting as she was becoming increasingly belligerent, according to police.
Police spoke with a bartender at Bailey’s Bar, who told police that Ronnie Kidd had been fired from his job at Bailey’s earlier that day and that Ronnie Kidd and Bobbie Kidd were drinking at the bar for “several hours” before the fight.
As Ronnie Kidd was being taken to the Elyria Police Department, he allegedly kicked out the window of a police cruiser, and he was additionally charged with vandalism. He was taken to EMH Elyria Medical Center after making threats to harm himself, police said.
