Forrest A. Fitzwater

Forrest A. Fitzwater, 94, of Grafton, passed away Monday, September 23, 2013, at the Elyria Wesleyan Village, following a brief illness. He was born December 12, 1918, in Belington, West Virginia, and was a Grafton resident since 1953.

Forrest worked at the Ford Motor Co. in Brookpark for 25 years, retiring as a foreman in 1975. He was a member of the VFW Hinkson-Hysell Post 3341, an avid outdoorsman, and as a young man, served with the Conservation Corps at Camp Copperhead, West Virginia.

Survivors include his daughter, Loverenne (Romey) Hardway of Elyria; sons, Edward (Gayle) Fitzwater of Avon Lake and Noble (Kathy) Fitzwater of Belington, West Virginia; grandchildren, Jim, Mike and Brian Fitzwater, Richard Hardway and Laura Fry; and many great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Neva in 1998; and three sisters.

All Services will be private.
