Born and raised in Cleveland, Bruce received his Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) Masters of Education, Business Administration and Management, General from Ohio University Indiana University in 1964. Bruce later moved to Elyria, where he was an Associate Professor at Lorain County Community College from 1967 to 1997.
Bruce was an avid antique collector and was definitely known for his sense of humor. He also enjoyed boating, jet skiing, shuffleboard and spending time with his friends and family.
He is survived by his wife of 20 years, Linda A. (nee Smith); son, Joseph Summa of Franklin; step daughters, Cherie Wikle of LaGrange and Tammy Quillen of Penfield; step son, Robert (Laurie) Wikle of Olmsted Falls; grandchildren, Jerrod Quillen, Jenna Quillen, Rylan Wikle and Cody Wikle.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Leonard and Gertrude (nee Wolfield).
In honor of Bruce, a Celebration of Life will be held Sunday, October 13, 2013 from 2 to 4 P.M. at Ruby’s, 63709 West Royalton Road (Route 82), Grafton, (between Rt. 83 & Durkee).
