One woman was injured in a two-vehicle crash Friday on Whitehead Road.

Becca Maurer was driving a PT cruiser southbound near 17364 Whitehead Road when a Dodge Dart heading northbound turned in front of the vehicle, according to her husband, Shawn Maurer, who was also in the car.

Shawn said the impact pushed their vehicle into the ditch, where it almost struck a pole. The Maurers’ two children, ages 7 and 6 months, and their son’s friend, also 7, were in the vehicle. Shawn and the children were not injured.

Becca was extricated by Lagrange Township Fire Department, and transported by ambulance to EMH Elyria Medical Center.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating the crash.

I find it funny how the press doesn’t get both sides of the story and constantly blame the younger one in the accident. Why wasn’t there any pictures of the dart? Just focusing on the p.t.??? Cause it wasn’t the teen drivers fault. Haha funny.

who said it was a teen that was driving the Dart?

      • anonymous

I know who was involved in it

    • Joe Smith

So you are saying the Dart did NOT pull out in front of the PT?

      • cut

No one said the Dart pulled out; it was North bound.

“Becca Maurer was driving a PT cruiser southbound near 17364 Whitehead Road when a Dodge Dart heading northbound turned in front of the vehicle”

Same concept, the point was that the person ( anon) above was trying to indicate that it wasn’t the teens fault and if he turned in front of the PT, it was his fault

…for the sake of society, I hope you aren’t much older than 8 or 9.

No anon is 17 I should know. Funny thing is they never shared pictures of my car. That would of been the determining factor

  • Rheanna

So what was the condition of the person in the dodge?

    • Sabrina Gabrielle Kunkler

Myself (the driver) was unharmed. Just a scratch from my airbag. My passenger was also uninjured

No where in this article does it say it was a teen driver but thank you for pointing out that fact. It simply says a dart turned in front of her. No where in this article does it say who was at fault. But we obviously know now.

    • Sabrina Gabrielle Kunkler

Noone knows because the facts are all messed up

  • anonymous

    The dart was totaled

    • Joe Smith

I guess he didn’t dodge the Dart…sorry, couldn’t help myself
