Lillie Mae Hoskin

HoskinLillieLillie Mae Hoskin, 80, of Elyria, passed away in her home, following a lengthy illness. She was born in Mound Bayou, Mississippi, coming to Elyria 50 years ago from Chicago, Illinois.

Mrs. Hoskin was employed in the housekeeping department at St. John West Shore, Westlake Hospital and Bay View Hospital, retiring after 30 years of service. Mrs. Hoskin was a member of Elyria West Congressional of Jehovah Witness. She enjoyed gardening, fishing, reading her Bible and spending time with family and friends.

She will be missed by her daughter; Brenda Hoskin-Gonzalez of Lorain; sons, Anthony (Sheryl) Hoskin, Tommy Lee (Gwenn) Newson of Columbus, Ricky Allen Hoskin, Willie Lee Brown, James Edward Newson, Joe E. Strickland, all of Elyria; 25 grandchildren; a host of great grandchildren and great great grandchildren; and her brother, Horace Brown of Chicago, Illinois.

She was preceded in death by her ex-husband, Robert M. Hoskin; parents, Hollis and Lucendia Brown; sisters, Rosea Lee Brue, Willia Mae Matthews; and brother, Hollis Brown.
