She was very active in the Firelands Schools P.T.G., assisted as a room mother, participated and helped organize walkathons, and helped with many other school related functions.
One of her passions was collecting elephant memorabilia, especially good-luck elephants with up-turned trunks. Delise also enjoyed couponing and was quite an accomplished and organized couponer. Her two sons were her greatest passions though, and she was definitely a devoted mother to both, Joshua and Michael. She also enjoyed baking for her family and friends, gardening, and her special weekly outings with her sons. Delise gave the gift of life to others as a tissue donor through Life Banc.
Delise was the loving mother of Joshua Carpino and Michael Danforth; loving long-time companion of Paul C. Danforth; beloved sister of Nicholas Miller of Columbus; granddaughter of Isabel Socey of Elyria and Richard and Bonnie Socey of Spokane, Washington. She is also survived by her step-father, Warren Power, Paul Danforth’s mother, Pixie Danforth; and Paul’s sister, Victoria Danforth.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Larry F. Miller and Sandra L. Power (nee Socey), and Paul C. Danforth, Sr.
The family will receive friends at the Busch Funeral Home, 114 Second Street, Elyria, on Sunday, October 6, 2013 from 2 P.M. until the time of Delise’s funeral service at 6 P.M. Rev. Daniel E. Reinke will officiate.
