Donald K. James

OBIT FLAGJamesDonaldDonald K. James, 70, of Elyria, passed away Wednesday, October 9, 2013, at EMH HealthCare in Elyria, following a long illness. He born November 17, 1942 in Monroe, Georgia.

Donald served in the U.S. Navy and retired from Del Lumber as a yard foreman, following 38 years of service. Donald enjoyed spending time with his family, hunting, fishing, golf, bowling, and gambling.

Survivors include his wife of 46 years, Harriett A. (nee Kulzynski); two sons, Donald H. of Elyria and Ronald C. (Cathy) of Elyria. Additional survivors include two grandchildren; one great-grandchild; two sisters, Sylvia Teed (Charles) of Avon Lake, Faye Mathewson of Florida; and a brother, Norman (Debi) of Lorain.

Donald was preceded in death by his parents, Cody and Dairl (nee Brooks) James.

A memorial service will be held at 6 P.M., Monday, October 14, 2013, at Midway Baptist Church, 41812 Griswold Rd., Elyria, where the family will receive friends one hour immediately following the service. Reverend Chuck Keesee will officiate. Burial will be private.
