Frank served in the U.S. Army, and retired from Weyerhaeuser (formerly Bloedel Containers), following 47 years of service as a Production Scheduler. He was a member of St. Teresa of Avila Catholic Church in Sheffield Village. Frank enjoyed shooting pool, golf, playing dominos and chess.
Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Donna Karin (nee Swanson); two sons, Karl E. (Mary) of Avon, Paul B. of Cleveland; two daughters, Susan E. Pollack (Greg) of LaGrange, Teresa M. Pollack (Michael) of Elyria. Additional survivors include a brother, Joseph (Eleanor) of Brook Park; and eleven grandchildren.
Frank was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Susan (nee Bombach); and a sister, Helen Cvelbar.
The family will receive friends 1 to 4 P.M., Sunday, October 13, 2013 at The Laubenthal-Mercado Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 38475 Chestnut Ridge Rd. (at State Rt. 57), Elyria, 440-322-4626. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 A.M., Monday, October 14, 2013 at St. Teresa of Avila Catholic Church, 1878 Abbe Rd., Sheffield Village, where Rev. Fr. Edward J. Smith, Pastor, will be the Celebrant. (Please meet at Church) Burial will be at St. Teresa of Avila Cemetery where V.F.W. Post #1079 will provide full military honors.
