Janet Wavelene Kuhl (nee Nolan), 70, of Elyria, departed this life to be with her Lord and Savior Wednesday, October 9, 2013, at Cleveland Clinic, following a lengthy illness. Janet was born July 22, 1943 in Lewis County, West Virginia. She lived for a brief time in Lagrange, before moving to Elyria, in 1972, where she has remained a resident.
Janet’s primary focus in life was being a housewife and mother. She was a member of Midway Baptist Church, where she was a member of Silver Saints and taught Cubbies in the Awana program. Janet enjoyed crocheting, crossword puzzles, gardening and flowers. She was a collector of dolls. She especially loved making a home for her family and friends to gather at. The joy of her life in later years were her grandchildren and spending time together with them.
Survivors include her husband of 47 years, Roger Kuhl; her son and his wife, Roger Lee and Tonya Kuhl, Jr.; her grandchildren, Brianna, Brooke (Corey) Creak, Brandon and Brody Kuhl; her brothers, Bill Nolan of Glenville, West Virginia and Lewis Nolan of Wichita Falls, Texas; her sisters, Eleanor Rader of Elyria, Viola Bishop, Karen Keesucker and Jean Grogg, all of Glenville, West Virginia; as well as many nieces and nephews.
Janet was preceded in death by her brothers, Arnold, George, Jim, and John; her sister, Betty Lynch; and her parents, Jake and Tressie Nolan (nee Mick).
Friends may call Friday, October 11, 2013, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 P.M., as well as Saturday October 12, from 9 until 10 A.M., at the Midway Baptist Church, 41821 Griswold Rd., Elyria. Funeral services will be held Saturday, October 12, 2013, at 10 A.M. The Reverend Charles Keessee, Pastor, will officiate. Burial will follow at River Road Cemetery, LaGrange Township.
