She leaves our world to join her beloved husband Clyde, a marriage of 58 years till his passing in 2005. Edna grew up in Grafton, where family still resides. She was the daughter of Bruno and Bertha Wildenheim. Edna and Clyde married on April 26, 1947 and she moved to her home “on the farm”.
Edna was a unique person, soft, gentle and private. No frills and thrills. She fit right into farming, she had a deep love of gardening flowers, vegetables and taking care of chickens and sheep. She shoveled coal, stoked the furnace and carried ashes. Edna loved to cook, can the produce from the property and bake. Mowing lawn and yard work, she called therapy. She did it all, into her 80′s, while raising two sons, Donald and Robert. Add a little more excitement into her busy life, she worked for some time at Longview Farms, dressing chickens, turkeys and candling eggs. Edna enjoyed camping with her husband, Clyde and two boys, Don and Rob. Later they camped with their three granddaughters.
She was preceded in death by her brothers, Walter (Doris), Frankie (Eleanor), Alex (Gertrude) and Howard (Adeline); sister, Edith (George) Burke; and brother-in-law, Corwin (Dorothy).
She leaves behind her love for sons, Donald (Linda), the late Robert (Carol); she was the loving grandmother to Jenifer (Charlie) Sperrazza, Kary (Brian) Prince and Heidi (George) Yatsko; great grandmother of nine; Sue Knabe, Lynn Zaloznik and Doug Meek continue to be considered as family to Edna; nieces, nephews and friends mourn her passing.
