Robert W. “Robby” Robinson, 75, of Elyria (Amherst Township), went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, October 16, 2013. He passed away while battling Lou Gehrig’s disease. He was born on the banks of the Susquehanna River in the upstate New York farming community of Bainbridge on July 31, 1938, to Carl Robinson and Gladys (Owens) Robinson.
He grew up and attended school in Unadilla, New York. He attended Delhi A & T and spent a number of years at Cornell. He had a career in Dairy Science, Dairy Cattle Nutrition and Dairy Cattle Reproduction. In the early 1990’s, he founded an Electronic remarketing company, Monitorman Inc., which rose to national and international prominence in the computer industry. The family belongs to Church of the Open Door in Elyria.
He is survived by his wife, Norri (Ethridge) Robinson; three daughters, Lori Robinson of Sauquoit, New York, Dr. Denise Henzes of Clarks Green, Pennsylvania, Raquel Robinson of Elyria; and five grandchildren.
A Homegoing service will be held Sunday, October 20, 2013 at 5 P.M. at the Church of the Open Door, Elyria campus.
