Dorothy L. Price

PriceDorthyDorothy L. Price, 85, of Grafton, passed away Monday, October 21, 2013 in Keystone Pointe, LaGrange, following a short illness. She was born May 7, 1928 in Grafton and had been a lifelong resident.

She was a member of the Litchfield Assembly of God for many years. She had owned and operated the Country Kitchen Restaurant in Grafton for 10 years and retired from the Lorain County Sheriff’s Department as a food service manager. Mrs. Price enjoyed cooking, baking pies, working the Friday night dinners at her church until her health began to fail. She loved family time and her grandchildren’s events.

She is survived by daughters, Linda (Art) Bowman of LaGrange, Dawn (Ken) Fildes, of Grafton; sons, Gary (Betty Jo) Price of Clinton, Pennsylvania and Charles “Pete” (Margaret) Price of Wellington; survivors also include 13 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and her brother, Walter Rader of Grafton.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Price in 2009; five brothers; and three sisters; and by her parents, Issac and Louvina Rader.

Friends may call in the Blackburn-Duke Funeral Home, 1021 Main St., Grafton, Wednesday, October 23, 2013 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 P.M. Funeral service will be Thursday, October 24, 2013 at 1 P.M. in the funeral home, with Reverend Mark Hartshorn, Pastor of the Litchfield Assembly of God Church, officiating. Burial will be in Resthaven Memory Gardens, Avon.

The family suggests that memorial donations be made to the church.
