LORAIN — Four men accused of fighting with police at 2:05 a.m. Saturday at Mangine’s Bar face aggravated rioting charges.
In addition to aggravated rioting, Alonzo Harrison, 21, and Antony Harrison, 23, each of the 3800 block of Denver Ave., Lorain, Davonta Harrison, 20, of Cleveland, and Jordan Pendergrass, 24, 1700 block of Euclid Ave., Lorain, were charged with resisting arrest and obstructing official business. Davonta Harrison also was charged with vandalism for allegedly trying to kick out a police cruiser window after being handcuffed. Pendergrass also was charged with possession of drugs and conveyance of drugs into a prison or jail.
Witnesses said the men started a fight over the use of a pool table and one brandished a pistol, according to police reports.
Police found a semi-automatic pistol hidden outside the bar near where one of the witnesses said one of the men stashed it. Police said they had to fight with Antony Harrison to handcuff him in the bar, and they had to threaten to use a stun gun on the suspects to get compliance.
