H.S. Football: Lorain’s game tonight at Warren G. Harding canceled after recent events in Warren

Lorain High School’s football season ended sooner than expected.
The Titans’ Week 10 game tonight at Warren G. Harding High School was canceled this afternoon because of heightened tensions in the Warren community.
A 24-year-old man was killed Saturday at a gas station and another man was shot to death Oct. 19 in a confrontation with police, according to the Warren Tribune Chronicle.
“”We made this decision in consultation with the administration and the police department,” Warren Superintendent Michael Notar said.
Lorain finishes the season 3-6.
Lorain athletic director Bryan Koury was disappointed in the cancellation but said he understood. He offered to host the game Saturday but it was too late for both sides to make it work.
