Lorain blotter: Caller reports man watching children from his vehicle

Sunday, Nov. 3

  • 11:06 a.m. — Intersection West 9th Street and Washington Avenue, someone reported a man driving around and watching small children from his vehicle.
  • 3:30 p.m. — 1800 block Broadway, a woman told police that there was a dent in her car after she parked it in the area for more than two hours.
  • 4:26 p.m. — 200 block Clifton Ave., a boy told his parents that he was riding a bike when a dog chased him and bit him.

Monday, Nov. 4

  • 12:31 a.m. — Intersection West Erie and Washington avenues, police watched Kenneth Herda, 24, drive left of center, and when they pulled him over he had difficulty finding his license in his wallet. Herda then failed sobriety tests and was charged with OVI.
  • 1:30 a.m. — 800 block E. 28th St., a man lit a cigarette in a bar and when the bartender told him to put it out, the man started yelling at him.
