Robert D. Porter, Jr., 38, of North Ridgeville, died unexpectedly Thursday, November 7, 2013, at his home. He was born December 28, 1974 in Oberlin, and lived in North Ridgeville for 16 years, coming from Wellington.
He was a graduate of Wellington High School Class of 1993, and then graduated from Baldwin Wallace College. He was a football coach for Avon Middle School and also a realtor in Lorain County. He was an avid Ohio State fan.
He is survived by his wife, Tammy (nee Heiman) Porter; two sons, Bobby and Leo; parents, Robert and Jeani (nee Storrow) Porter; one brother, Ryan (Heather) Porter; father and mother-in-law, John and Gail Heiman; brother-in-law, Tim (Anne) Heiman; and several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Kent Storrow; grandfather, Karl Garn; and grandmothers, Peggy Garn and Mae Garn.
Friends will be received Monday, November 11, 2013, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 P.M., at the Misencik Funeral Home, 36363 Detroit Road, Avon, where the funeral service will be Tuesday, November 12, 2013, 11 A.M. Interment will follow in Resthaven Memory Gardens, Avon.
