Lauren C. Kutchenriter (nee Venzel), 27, of Columbus and formerly of Grafton, passed away unexpectedly Sunday, November 24, 2013, at The Ohio State Medical Center in Columbus. She was born August 22, 1986 in Lorain, and was a Grafton resident for most of her life.
Lauren worked in sales for Pacer International in Dublin, Ohio, for the past five years. She was a 2004 graduate of Elyria Catholic High School, a 2009 graduate of Bowling Green State University and a member of Alpha Chi Omega Sorority.
Survivors include her husband of one year, Kyle; parents, Dr. John and Sue (nee Vilagi) Venzel of Grafton; sister, Megan (Matt) Engler of New Albany, Ohio; brother, Matt Venzel of Parma; maternal grandparents, Burt and Barb Vilagi of Amherst; paternal grandmother, Lillian Venzel of Lorain; father and mother-in-law, Jim and Gloria Kutchenriter of Grand Rapids, Ohio; and grandmother-in-law, Joann Kutchenriter of Maumee, Ohio. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandmother, Georgene Vilagi; and paternal grandfather, John Venzel. The family will receive friends Friday, November 29, 2013, 4 until 7 P.M., at the Laubenthal-Mercado Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 38475 Chestnut Ridge Rd. (at State Rt. 57), Elyria. Closing prayers will be Saturday, November 30, 2013, at 9:30 A.M., in the funeral home, followed by a 10 A.M. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Mary Catholic Church, 320 Middle Ave., Elyria. The Reverend Charles Diedrick, Pastor, will be the Celebrant. Burial will be at St. Joseph Cemetery, Amherst.
