The shooting occurred by building M. The victim ran to an apartment in the E building, according to a woman in that apartment who would not give her name. The man, who police didn’t identify, appeared to be in his early 20s and was conscious and alert when placed on a stretcher and taken from the apartment.
“When you find out who (the suspects are) let us know,” a police officer told the man, who told police the nicknames of the two suspects. “Got you,” said the man, who grimaced in pain as the stretcher was wheeled to an ambulance.
Residents reported hearing between 5 and 15 rapid-fire shots in the incident. Police, who said one of the two men they were searching for was wearing a red, hooded sweatshirt, searched for shell casings in the parking lot after the shooting.
