Thomas “TW” Wilson, 62, of Elyria, went home to be with the Lord Wednesday, November 27, 2013, following a brief illness. He was born in Alabama, coming to Elyria in 1953. He was a graduate of Elyria High School, where he played football, baseball and wrestling. He was employed as a tow motor operator for General motors in Parma, retiring in 2007.
He attended Jones Chapel AME Church. His hobbies were fishing, cooking and he was an avid sports fan.
He will be sadly missed by mother, Exie Wilson; son, Cory Wilson of Orlando, Florida; two grandchildren; sisters, Sandra Goines (Money) of Elyria, Myra Wilson of Elyria; brother, Milton Wilson of Elyria; and a host of nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Ulysses David Wilson.
Friends may call Thursday, December 5, 2013, from 5 until 7 P.M., in the Carter Funeral Home Chapel, 127 West Bridge Street in Elyria. Words of comfort will be by Pastor Alvin Lindsay of Faith Ministries Church of Lorain.
