Adella Aulisio (nee Yersick), 90 years old, of Elyria, died Wednesday, December 4, 2013, at Wesleyan Village in Elyria, following a long illness.
Mrs. Aulisio was born October 26, 1923 in Uniontown, Pennsylvania and made her home in Elyria most of her life. She was employed for 25 years as a cashier at Pick-N-Pay in North Ridgeville. A member of St. Jude Catholic Church, she was a member of the Altar and Rosary Society and served as a Eucharistic Minister, both in church and the homes of elderly parishioners.
She is survived by one daughter, Theresa (Terry) husband (Joe) Mazur of Huron; three sons, Nick (Kathy) and Paul (Sherry) both of Elyria, and Russ (Kathy) of Marion, Indiana; 17 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; a niece, Cynthia (Bremenour) DeFilippo, who, along with her mother, lived with the Aulisio family; and additional nieces and nephews. Also surviving is one brother, Charles (Maureen) Jajczyk of Columbus.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Anthony A. in 1949; one son, Anthony M. in 2008; one grandson, David Mazur in 1998; three brothers, Paul, Richard, and Kasey Yersick; and four sisters, Jean Pulig, Sally Wyszynski, Rose Yersick, and Anne Bremenour.
Friends will be received at the Reichlin Roberts Funeral Home, 327 Cleveland Street, Elyria, Sunday, December 8, 2013, from 4 until 8 P.M. Closing prayers will be Monday, December 9, 2013, at 9:30 A.M., in the funeral home, followed by mass at 10 A.M., at St. Jude Church, 590 Poplar Street, Elyria, with the Reverend Father Frank P. Kosem, Pastor, officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary Cemetery, Elyria, Ohio.
