Jon was raised in the Lorain and South Amherst area. He graduated Magna Cum Laude from Kent State University with a Masters in Business Administration. Jon had made his home in Michigan for the last 42 years. Jon was employed at Ford Motor Company for 30 years before retiring in 1995, as a cost analyst. In his younger years, he enjoyed playing basketball and football with South Amherst High School. Jon also played the guitar with his brothers in their band “The Mountaineers”. He was an avid Cleveland Browns and Indian’s fan. His hobbies included golf and he loved the challenge of crossword puzzles. In his spare time, he enjoyed watching old western TV series and movies.
Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Mary Ann Glaser (nee Candito); his son, Anthony Glaser of Michigan; his brothers and their wives, Gerald and Dorothy Dickinson of Lorain, Harold and Bev Dickinson of Amherst; and his sister, Sandie Miles of Amherst.
He was was preceded in death by his mother, Mabelle Dickinson (nee Slack), on March 26, 2013; his father, Aloysius Glaser; and his stepfather, Richard Dickinson in 2001.
Private services were held privately by the family.
