Dolores “Dee” Ann Brown

BrownDoleresDolores “Dee” Ann Brown (nee Brown), 74, of Elyria, passed away after a brief illness, Thursday, December 12, 2013, peacefully at home, with her family by her side. She was born September 25, 1939 in Lynn, Massachusetts.

Dolores was a 1957 graduate of St. Mary’s High School and a 1960 graduate of Catherine Laboure’ School of Nursing. She worked for Intrepid Home Care and was a registered nurse for 53 years. Dolores belonged to the American Legion, and VFW. Dee was a very intellectual individual and always had a story to tell. Her greatest “Joys in Life” were her grandchildren, cooking, and gardening. She is going to be deeply missed by family and friends.

Survivors include husband of 39 years Harrold “Bud” Brown; daughters, Cathy (Rob) Givens of Elyria, Chris Temple of Rutland, Vermont, Caren Meagher of Elyria, Colleen (Joe) Lawell of Plainfield, Illinois; son, Timothy (Ranesha) Brown of Elyria; 12 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Irving and Mary Brown (nee Hogan); and her two brothers, Irving and Richard.

A celebration of her life will be at a later date. Burial will be private.
