Richard “Rick” Wayne Timchuk, 51, of New London, died Thursday, December 12, 2013. He was born May 1, 1962 in Elyria, to Carol and Wayne Timchuk.
Rick was a 1980 graduate of Wellington High School and the Lorain County JVS. After high school, Rick worked for Wellington Implement and later for Modern Poured Walls. He owned his own semi truck and was a truck driver for Mercer Trucking and later for B&T Express. Rick was a member of the NRA, the LaGrange Engine Club, and the Lake Erie Antique Power Club. An avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed fishing, camping and being in the country. Rick also took great pleasure in spending time with his daughter.
Rick is survived by his mother, Carol Timchuk of Rochester; his father, Wayne Timchuk of New London; daughter, Alexa Michelle Timchuk of Brighton; sister, Laurie Timchuk of New London; and nephews, Eric Hicks of New London and Matt (Sara) Hicks of Tennessee.
Friends a family will be received Friday, December 20, 2013, from 5 P.M., until the time of a 7 P.M. Memorial service at Norton-Eastman Funeral Home, 370 South Main Street, Wellington.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to a memorial fund for his daughter, Alexa, at any PNC bank.
