Sharon Faye Jones (nee Morrow), 61 years of age, and a resident of Grafton, passed away Sunday, December 15, 2013, at Southwest General Hospital, following a lengthy illness.
Sharon was born February 3, 1952, in Delta, Kentucky. She was raised and made her home in Amherst, graduating from Marion L. Steele High School in 1972. Grafton had been her home since 1982.
She was a member of Life Spring Community Church in Valley City, where she was very active in the ministry, both in the AWANA program and church cafe. She was a beautician by trade, working at may local salons for over 30 years. Sharon loved keep her hands busy and would enjoy doing cross stitch during her quite times.
Survivors include her husband, Thomas Jones, of 41 years; her sister, Carol Kirkpatrick and her husband, James of Amherst; brothers, Paul and wife, Janet of Amherst, and Ira and wife, Linda of Vermilion; as well as many nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews.
Sharon was preceded in death by her parents, Hobart W. Morrow in 1978 and by Rosalie “Rose” (nee Branscum) Morrow in 2011; and brother, Ronald Terrance Morrow in 2001.
Friends may call Thursday, December 19, 2013, from 10 A.M., until 12 P.M., at the Hempel Funeral Home, 373 Cleveland Ave., Amherst. Funeral services will be held on the same day at 12 Noon, from the funeral home. Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery, South Amherst.
The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the Benevolent Fund, c/o Life Spring Community Church, 1638 Lester Rd., Valley City, OH 44280.
